Dean grew up on a diversified livestock and farming operation near Creston, NE where he still maintains an active role as a partner in his family’s operation. After graduation from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Dean worked for Farm Credit Services and Colorado Cattle Feeders Association.
In 1991, Dean was recruited to work for the Nebraska Cattlemen as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs. Under this role, Dean developed the Cattlemen’s Environmental Education Program, which was the first environmental compliance program of its kind in the nation. As well, Dean was responsible for legislative and regulatory affairs for the Association.
In 1997, Dean founded Settje Agri-Services & Engineering, Inc. Dean has been the President of the company since its formation, and maintains a strong presence in all aspects of the business.
Steve has been with Settje Agri-Services and Engineering since May of 1998. Prior to joining SASE, he worked as a feedlot hand in maintenance, as a feed truck driver, and as a pen rider while attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. At SASE, his main emphasis has been engineering, design, and permitting of new and existing livestock facilities. The scope of projects which Steve has worked on primarily consists of feedlots, swine facilities, and dairies. Steve currently manages the Engineering Division of Settje Agri-Services.
Steve is married and has two girls and one boy. His hobbies include hunting, skiing, and watching his kid’s sporting events.
Travis was born and raised in central Nebraska, in the small community of Boelus. His family owns and operates cow/calf and row crop operations. He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Agricultural Sciences.
After graduation from college, Travis was hired by Hormel Foods Corporation as a livestock buyer. In 1995, Travis transitioned to work as a feedlot consultant for Land O’ Lakes and Cargill Animal Nutrition. In 2005, Travis joined Settje Agri-Services, and focused on marketing SASE services. He works with new and expanding facilities, assisting them with layout, design, and county zoning issues. He has worked extensively on developing the Settje Compliance Service (SCS) web-based program. Travis and his wife, Anna, have one son and one daughter.
Zach was born and raised in Eastern Nebraska near the home office of Settje Agri-Services & Engineering. Growing up, Zach spent his free time working for the company in all aspects, from maintenance to entry-level tasks. After graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2019 with an Agribusiness degree he began his career internationally, developing commercial farming projects outside of the US. Upon returning to SASE full-time, Zach moved into the construction management department.
After managing multiple projects both domestically and abroad for SASE, Zach has moved into the role of Chief Operating Officer. As COO he oversees daily business functions of all divisions of the company. His tactical experience includes construction project management, project development, sales, and design for beef, dairy, and poultry projects. Additionally, he supervises all marketing and software development activities of the company.
